«A Sensory Friendly Dance Performance» returns to Sacramento for two performances on Saturday, August 18th at the Crocker Art Museum at 11:30am-12:30pm and 2pm-3pm.
Enjoy a live dance performance by Sacramento's professional dancers at the Crocker Art Museum in an inclusive environment aimed to help everyone, particularly individuals with autism or other sensory related disabilities, feel welcomed, comfortable and accepted in a theater environment. Traditional theater rules will be relaxed, sound and lighting effects will be minimized during the short dance performance, and CDP will provide an opportunity for individuals with special needs, and their families and caretakers, to meet and connect with the Sacramento community in a climate of acceptance and understanding.
Capital Dance Project is thrilled to receive the support of the California Arts Council
to make this event affordable and accessible to our community. Tickets to this performance are just $5 (with no additional fees) and free parking will be available.
